PRIVACY
At K12 Haiti, we respect the privacy of our website visitors and created a policy to show our firm commitment to your privacy and the protection of your information. The following online privacy policy applies to information that we collect when you visit this website (k12Haiti.org) as well as our online donation forms provided by our donation processing partners.
TYPE OF DATA WE COLLECT
Generally, we collect two types of data: 1) Anonymous and 2) Personally Identifiable data.
ANONYMOUS DATA COLLECTION

K12 Haiti never collects personally identifiable information on our website without your consent. The only personally identifiable information that we collect is information that you voluntarily enter on our website, or within the account/donation forms of our 3rd party providers. Information we collect may include, but is not limited to, name, address, city, state, ZIP/postal code, telephone number, e-mail address. In order to continuously improve our service and meet your needs we may also ask you to provide information specific to your organization.K12 Haiti uses this information primarily to communicate with you, and to provide you with better service. For example, the information may be used to complete a transaction or communicate with you through mailings and email. We also provide you with the opportunity to remove your name from our mailings/email lists, if you desire to do so (see corresponding section below).
SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
K12 Haiti may sell, rent, lease or exchange your personal information to other organizations for their own use. You explicitly agree to Haiti Joe exchanging your information with its managing partner Endure Products, LLC d/b/a Roost & Root.

As a convenience to our visitors, K12 Haiti website may contain links to other sites that we believe may offer useful information. You may unsubscribe from our mailing and email lists at any time. To no longer receive communication through the mail, please write and send your request to 301 S. Canyonwood Drive | Dripping Springs, TX 78620. To unsubscribe from our email lists, simply click the “manage your subscription” link at the bottom of any informational email received from K12 Haiti.
AFFILIATIONS
K12 Haiti is a social causes non-profit and as such shares information with members back and forth for donation marketing reasons. You may have been contacted by K12 Haiti because of your opting into communications with one of its members or partners.
DONATIONS
Your donation to K12 Haiti will be used for the purpose it was promoted in accordance with laws governed by the State of Texas.
Undesignated donations less than $500 will be divvied to member schools by K12 Haiti on a pro rata basis (based on teachers’ goal) first towards teachers’ goal, then textbook initiatives, then technology.
Teachers , textbooks and technology initiatives for any given school may be fully funded by a donor at any time and that schools teacher and/or textbook and/or technology initiative can be activated and fulfilled.
Teachers salaries are funded on a monthly basis as funds are available. Textbook and Technology initiatives only fund when the full goal for that year is reached. Unused balances in textbook and/or technology accounts for a member school can carry over into a following years goals.
K12 Haiti is registered as a Texas Non-Profit Corporation with Federal 501 (c) (3) status. Your lawyer or accountant can provide you detailed information as to the amounts and types of tax deductions a charity such as K12 Haiti will afford you. We will provide you a deduction receipt with all of the needed details of your donation consistent with the then applicable laws.
Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of the K12 Haiti. K12 Haiti will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of K12 Haiti and the givers intended use. All giving and use of this site is governed by this K12 Haiti Privacy Policy Terms & Conditions statement.
No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.
K12 Haiti will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation.
K12 Haiti will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of K12 Haiti.
Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for K12 Haiti.
K12 Haiti will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by K12 Haiti.
K12 Haiti will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, K12 Haiti will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members with a need to know.
GOOD FAITH REPRESENTATIONS
It is the desire of K12 Haiti to operate at the highest levels of transparency and excellence. We offer information, such as and including but not limited to, student counts, teacher counts, budgets, requests, quantities and amounts in good faith.
We collect this and all information carefully, but you should understand that it is dynamic and we have limited resources to constantly update it and assure its precision and circumstances on the ground in Haiti change over the course of the year.
Factors such as exchange rates and inflation also exact imprecision on expressing amounts retroactively. In any event, if you have concerns over such matters, you should not hesitate to contact us directly BEFORE you were to donate money to our causes. Once monies are donated they will not be refunded.
